IDC combined style and function when developing an aesthetically pleasing palm recognition device for the luxury yacht market.
IDC developed a palm recognition entry system for luxury yachts. It is a biometric, security access control system that scans the palm to recognise authorised individuals.
IDC provided mechanical and industrial design support to integrate the electronic assemblies designed by MESL. Working closely with MESL they created a detailed design from which they created a number of SLA prototypes that were assembled together with electronics to prove the design.
Final Product
IDC used its expertise and facilities to manufacture the palm recognition units on-site and will produce units to order.
They developed a product that offers both functionality and stylish aesthetic design perfect for the luxury yacht market.
