IDC Receives Red Dot Award for 'Best of the Best' Design

International product design agency, Industrial Design Consultancy (IDC), is delighted to accept a red dot award for the 'red dot: best of the best' category. This award was presented for highest product design quality when IDC developed an advanced video laryngoscope for the Venner Group.

Marc Tanner, Head of Industrial Design at IDC comments, "We are thrilled with this latest accolade. Companies with the red dot award are considered to be among the best of the design industry worldwide. This award comes at an exciting time for the company - we have just opened an office in Shanghai and next year we will be celebrating our 40th year of business."

IDC had stiff competition, with approximately 1,700 companies from 60 countries taking part (4,433 entries in total). Professor Dr. Peter Zec, the initiator of the red dot design award, explains what the award means, "As always, our jury cast a very careful eye over the products submitted. Design quality has asserted itself clearly in the judging process, with genuine and new creative solutions also being rewarded. Both of these criteria are not just yardsticks for good design, but also for the potential for success on the market. This potential is increased several times over by the targeted use of our renowned design award."

IDC will receive the award on July 4th 2011 at Essen's opera house, Aalto Theater, with the winning design, the Venner A.P. Advance Video Laryngoscope, then going to a special exhibition at the red dot design museum.
