IDC was briefed to develop a simple, low cost solution to allow school children access to interactive whiteboards in classrooms.

Previously in classrooms, whiteboards were developed to be height adjusted via their mount, but this problematic and was not cost effective or ergonomic.

IDC conducted ergonomic studies to develop a concept that avoided these issues.

A simple step was the answer and this was designed with the classroom environment in mind; with health and safety a key priority.

The step was designed to sit securely beneath the wall mounted interactive whiteboard.

IDC ensured the product used the most robust materials and oversaw production phases of the project. In doing this, the team was able to concentrate on cost-effective production.

Steljes's Step Up product proved to be a low-cost, easy to install and safe solution for the classroom.
