By assessing the environmental impact of BCP's Phytosure packaging, IDC was able to redesign the range with biodegradable materials, while improving the brand and minimising waste
Steps to reducing environmental and social impact
BCP Certis asked IDC to redesign their Phytosure packaging so that it is manufactured from biodegradable or compostable materials in order to conform to EU regulations and minimise environmental impact.
IDC assessed the environmental impacts of a range of packaging and proposed ways to reduce impacts by reducing material content and selecting biodegradable or compostable materials.

Brainstorm Sketches
As well as analysing materials, IDC's industrial designers looked at ways to better communicate the brand through different concepts.
IDC produced a highly successful range of packaging to meet EU regulations, at the same time as reducing environmental impact and improving the branding of the range.
