IDC Launches Graduate Scheme for New Design Engineers

Our programme is designed to efficiently expose graduates to the right things at the right time in order to raise their level of expertise and experience so that they’re able to tackle future projects with improved autonomy and confidence.

The scheme has been carefully designed by members of the IDC team who have progressed over the years from graduate level to management, and know how best to nurture and increase the skill set of new recruits.

IDC’s Graduate Scheme Checklist:

Introduction to CAD

· Training courses in Solidworks and ProE, CAD Experimentation and Methods, Procedures for Drawings and Standards.

Client Liaison

· Exposure to clients in review meetings & help in public speaking and presentation communication skills.

Design for Manufacture

· Materials training and experience, reviewing manufacturing methods and quality procedures including supplier visits and communication.

Knowledge

· Time management and goal setting for successful project delivery.

· Knowledge transfer and advice from senior staff.

· Honest feedback and guidance.
