IDC redesigned the packaging for the UltiBar roof rack system, combining strong brand communication with secure transit packaging. The internal structure and layout were designed to be cost effective.
Working for commercial vehicle accessory supplier, Van Guard Accessories, IDC developed a new range of packaging for their ULTIbar van roof bar product line.

Conceptual Sketches
To accommodate Van Guard's ULTIbar roof bars, the packaging needed to be almost 2m long to support the product. IDC's industrial design team produced concepts which avoided being unnecessarily bulky.
IDC designed the outer boxing and internal packaging structure to hold parts in place, while ensuring the packaging was simple and quick to fold.
